Goa CM receive threatening and extortionary messages

PANAJI: In a shocking development, Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant received four messages which are threatening and extortionary in nature.
All these messages were sent to CM’s mobile phone number prior to November 5. The Chief Minister’s Office has reported the issue to the Panaji police.
Panaji PI Sudesh Naik said that these messages were sent from foreign countries and the sender demanded money ranging from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.
A case has been registered against the unidentified person/s under sections 504, 506 (ii), 507 and 384 of Indian penal Code (IPC).
PSI Sahil Warang is conducting investigations under the guidance of Panaji PI Sudesh Naik and DySP Uttam Raut Dessai.
