Received information from Viplove Gautam Dedam R/o Nagpur Maharashtra informing that his lost mobile phone make Samsung M31 containing sim No. 8329177544 is presently on. Accordingly, obtained details along with the location of said mobile phone. A team consisting of HC-5753 Laxman Mandrekar, HC-4936 Vidhyanand Amonkar, PC-6644 Vijay Naik, PC-6118 Amir Garad, PC-7119 Ganpat Tiloji, PC-6515 Pravin Chodankar, and PC-7117 Bhagwan Palyekar all of Calangute Police Station proceeded at the location and traced Sachin Kumar S/o Santosh Kumar, age-19 years, R/o Baga, Calangute, Bardez-Goa, N/o Dehwan, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh-275204. During the preliminary interrogation of Sachin Kumar, he disclosed that he had committed theft of more mobile phones from Calangute beach. Thereafter recovered 12 mobile phones of different make belonging to tourists all worth Rs. 3,00,000/- approximately. Hence registered an offense U/s 379 IPC.
The accused was also disturbing the family members, especially ladies by calling them from the numbers obtained from the lost mobile phone.
The family of Viplove Dedam was disturbed due to this act of the accused. Hence it was important to trace the accused without delay.
Calangute P.S. team acted swiftly and successfully nabbed the culprit.
