Today on 08.06.2023 at around 0945 hrs received call from PCR Panaji informing that one lady is lying dead in rented room at Dongarpur Naikwaddo Calangute Bardez Goa. Accordingly PI Calangute PS and SDPO Porvorim visited spot. On visiting and after inquiry at the spot, name of the lady revealed as Mrs. Sanjana Kumari D/o Krishna Kumar aged 34 yrs N/o Patna Bihar. She was staying in the said rented room with her boyfriend namely Shri Amender Kumar aged 26 yrs No Patna Bihar. Further on inquiry with the neighbors, it is learnt that deceased had committed suicide by hanging using saree. Eye witnesses/neighbors stated that lady had locked herself inside the room and committed suicide and door was broke open by the boyfriend namely Amrender Kumar. Further dead body was shifted to PHC Chadolim and later to GMC Bambolim Goa for further action.
Recorded the statement of parents of the deceased. Father of the deceased also informed that deceased is married and her husband is living in Patna Bihar at her native place. She has 13 years old daughter out of her wedlock. Arrangements are kept to send dead body for the purpose of post mortem examination in presence of the husband of the deceased. Further inquiry is in progress with PSI Kiran Naik under guidance of PI Calangute PS Shri Paresh Naik and supervision of SDPO Porvorim Shri Vishwesh Karpe. Based on post mortem report further action will be taken
