BENAULIM: On the occasion of Babasaheb Ambedkar’s death anniversary, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) paid heartfelt tributes to the Father of the Indian Constitution on Friday. AAP leaders and volunteers gathered at the party’s Benaulim office to honor his legacy, reaffirming their commitment to equality, justice, and empowerment for all.
AAP MLAs Capt Venzy Viegas and Engr Cruz Silva, AAP President Adv Amit Palekar, AAP Working Presidents Valmiki Naik and Gerson Gomes, AAP Vice President Roque Mascarenhas, AAP Youth Wing leaders Rohan Naik and Salman Khan and other AAP coordinators were present during the event.
Following the commemoration, AAP held a crucial meeting with newly appointed Constituency Coordinators from Salcete, Mormugao, Bicholim, Bardez, and Tiswadi talukas, whose names had been announced during the Foundation Day event held last month.
Detailed constituency-level electoral data was provided to the Coordinators during the meeting, and they were tasked with strengthening the party’s booth-level structure. A discussion on pressing issues like land scams and job scams that are affecting Goans was also held so that these issues could be taken up at all levels.
During the meeting, leaders highlighted the importance of grassroots connectivity to ensure that AAP’s vision and policies reach every Goan household. Plans were also laid out for organising a statewide Volunteers’ Meet to further energise and mobilise AAP’s dedicated supporters.
The AAP leaders who recently returned from Delhi gave the coordinators an update on their visit. They reiterated the high expectations that the national leadership of the party holds from the Goa unit to work tirelessly for the betterment of Goa and to fight against corruption at all levels.
