AAP SET TO DIVIDE ANTI-BJP VOTES IN GOA, ALLEGES CONGRESS
PANAJI: The Opposition Congress Party on Thursday charged that the Delhi AAP MLA Raghav Chadha’s statement that the coming Assembly elections would be a fight between AAP and BJP has exposed the strategy of the AAP to divide the anti-BJP votes.
Addressing a press conference a the Congress office, here, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) media cell convenor Trajano D’Mello recalled that in 2017 elections the AAP tried similar strategies by cowardly, putting up banners projecting that the AAP would form the government. They don’t seem to have read the intelligence or are incapable of understanding the intelligence of the Goan electorate, who saw that the AAP lost its deposit in all the seats except in Benaulim constituency, he said.
Trajano claimed that the AAP is well known to be the BJP ‘B-team’ which was formed by putting the likes of Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi, Prashant Bhushan and many others at the `India Gate’ in the movement of the freedom of corruption, after which the AAP was formed.
The compromise formula was in the open when in the Delhi elections the Congress was defeated by BJP helping AAP and allowing Kejriwal to rule Delhi (with BJP in full control) and Kiran Bedi being appointed as Lieutenant Governor in Puducherry, said Trajano.
According to Trajano, AAP being controlled by the BJP has been made very clear in an interview by founder member of AAP and senior counsel Prashant Bhushan that he failed to read the hypocrisy of Kejriwal.
Trajano further mentioned that recently AAP Goa desk-in-charge and Delhi MLA Athishi Marlena on a visit to Goa to formulate new strategies travelled to Fatorda to meet the leader of the NDA partner without any Goan AAP leader accompanying her. He alleged that during the meeting these leaders discussed ways and means to destroy anti-BJP votes.
