PANAJI: Rakesh Manoj Bedi, an Indian Navy athlete from INS Tunir, has brought glory to India by winning a silver medal in the 75kg category at the Acropolis International Wushu Championship 2025, held in Athens, Greece, from February 28 to March 2.
Currently serving in Goa, Bedi is a seasoned National and International Wushu, Ju-Jitsu, and Judo player and a Certified Level-04 Fitness Coach. He has previously competed in the 37th National Games Goa (quarter-finalist), World Championships 2024, and Nordic Cup 2024, representing India.
Bedi has also been selected for the upcoming World Games 2025 (China) and Asian Championship 2025 (Jordan), further cementing his place among India’s top martial artists.
Expressing gratitude, he acknowledged the support of his Commanding Officer and Executive Officer of INS Tunir, Wushu Association of India, Goa Wushu Association, coach Killman Paulo Fernandes, and several mentors and well-wishers.
With his relentless dedication and exceptional skills, Rakesh Bedi is making Goa and the Indian Navy proud, solidifying his reputation as a rising star in Indian Wushu.
