AFTER POWER DEBATE, AAP TO LAUNCH AGITATION FOR CHEAP AND RELIABLE POWER IN GOA

PANAJI: After succeeding in locking horns with Power Minister Nilesh Cabral on Wednesday’s ‘Power Debate’ the Aam Admi Party (AAP) on Thursday decided to launch an agitation by meeting people house-to-house and holding 200 corner meetings across Goa.

Speaking to reporters, AAP State convenor Rahul Mahambre said that they wish to highlights that whether on cheap power or anything else the current BJP government is not a government for Goans. “We want a government for Goans,” he said.

AAP leader Valmiki Naik who participated in the power debate said the BJP government and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had become remote controlled Robots of the Centre. Their government has failed and this is due to their arrogance. They are saying they will rule for the next 25 years, AAP alleged.

AAP leaders alleged that by cancelling schemes during the COVID lockdown and then giving 50 per cent rebate on fixed electricity charges, the BJP government had treated Goans like beggars, since the rebate was only Rs 20 to Rs 25. Goans are suffering ever since the lockdown was enforced, they said.
