Goa GSB Sports & Charitable Trust in association with Goa Saraswat Samaj unveiled cricket match jerseys and winner’s trophies of the Alcon GSB Unity Cup 2024 T20 cricket tournament at Goa Saraswat Samaj’s food festival, recently.
The unveiling was done by former chief minister and MLA of Margao Constituency Shri Digambar Kamat, councillor Sagun (Dada) Naik, Shri Desh Prabhudesai (President of Goa Saraswat Samaj), Ranjita Pai (Chairman, Women’s Commission of Goa), Siddhit Pai Raiturker (President of Goa GSB Sports & Charitable Trust), Venkat Biche (Secretary ), Siddharth Ghanekar (Tournament Coordinator) and other trustees Kapil Borker, Kapil Angle, Pranav Biche, Sachin Sardesai, Ketan Kunde, Vikram Gaitonde and other dignitaries .
The tournament will commence from March 8 and conclude on May 5. Matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday’s at Panjim Gymkhana, MCC Margao and SK ground – Malkarne.
A total of 12 teams of GSB’s from all across the state are participating in the tournament.
Akash Khaunte of Alcon Group are the title sponsors whereas Chirag Naik of Commonwealth Developers are associate partners.
Dr Sagar Salgaocar of Desserts & More, and Mr Tanmay Kholkar of Manas Developers are the associate sponsors as well.
Shamrao Builders have donated the Rolling trophy for this tournament.
During this function Desh Prabhudesai also announced “Goa GSB Sports & Charitable Trust” as the official Sports Wing of Goa Saraswat Samaj and in future all the Sports Activities of Goa Saraswat Samaj will be held under this trust banner.
Besides sports activities, the trust also has plans to do charitable activities for needy people of all the community.
