State Commission for Persons with Disabilities Partners with Disability Alliance for Inclusive Goa and Rotary Club of Panjim Riviera to organise the competition

10 August, Goa: To celebrate India’s Independence Day, the State Commission for Persons with Disabilities, in association with Disability Alliance for Inclusive Goa and the Rotary Club of Panjim Riviera is excited to announce a Patriotic Karaoke Singing Competition exclusively for Persons with Disabilities. This program is being organised by the Office of the State Commission for Persons with Disabilities and Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.
The event is scheduled for 15 August 2024 at. 9.30 a.m. at Sanjay Centre for Special Education.
It is a unique platform for individuals with disabilities to showcase their singing talent and express their patriotism. Participants are required to arrive by 9 a.m. at the venue. Participants can perform one patriotic song of their choice in Marathi, Hindi, English, or Konkani. Each contestant must bring their own karaoke track, and performances should not exceed five minutes.
Judges will evaluate performances based on song selection, clarity, confidence, melody (sur), rhythm (taal), and overall presentation. Special schools are allowed to send only one entry per branch. This means that if a school has multiple branches, only one participant from each branch can be entered into the competition.
The competition will conclude with a prize distribution ceremony. where six prizes will be awarded- first, second, and third prizes, along with three consolation prizes. The prize distribution ceremony will be held immediately after the competition.
To participate, contestants must present a UDID card, or identity card.
Participation certificates will be given to all participants, recognizing their contribution to this special event.
Entries must be submitted by 12 August 2024.
