With an aim to make all the Government Departments cashless and make all the Government services available in the hands of the Citizens,a MoU was signed between Government of Goa (Finance Department )and Paytm in the presence of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant at Mantralaya Porvorim today.
Expressing his happiness over fulfilling the budget assurance of making Government department cash-free, Chief Minister informed that through this MoU, Paytm will enable Government Departments to accept Digital payments through QR code, Soundbox and Point of Sale devices and It will offer Goa the option of providing e-Government services on the Paytm Application,which will be accessible to all the Paytm Users for speedy and fast online payments. Paytm will also conduct Cyber security Training of Goa Police staff as well as organize a joint campaign with Goa for spreading Cyber security awareness among citizens he added. Also present on the occasion Chief business officer -Payments of Paytm, Shri Abhay Sharma, Vice president – Shri Ankit Goyal, Shri Saurabh Agrawal, Shri Vedant Karnani andShri Abhinav Dubey.
