Around 1200 women gathered for the rally.

Faldessai said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, women have progressed immensely.

“Our BJP government has ensured 33% reservation for women. Today, we have the President who is a woman. Many women occupy top positions, and many women are faring better than men. There are so many schemes for women unveiled by the Modi and Sawant government. Our women can tomorrow become MLAs. We are working for women. After exams, I urge the girls and women groups in our constituency to come forward and inform me about organising picnics. I will sponsor the travel and food,” he said.

He also said that he will sponsor pilgrimages for his constituents to various holy places in the country.

“Many people have gone on a pilgrimage under the CM Dev Darshan Scheme to places like Vailankanni, Tirupati, Shirdi, and Ram Mandir. I will sponsor these trips for my constituents, and I will book trains for our people,” he said.

Faldessai also said that on March 7, the PM will virtually unveil the foundation stone of the beautification works of Old Goa, that will be taken up at Rs 41 crores.

“The works will be taken up near the Old Goa Basilica along the 8.3 km stretch. Around 18,000 tourists come to Old Goa to visit the tomb of St Francis Xavier every day. This is a major tourist spot. Also, the repairs of the Cumbarjua bridge connecting Marcel will be taken up at a cost of Rs 3 crores. The foundation stone for the agriculture college will also be laid soon. This is the Modi guarantee. Our CM is also performing, and we have nothing to fear. We deliver what we promise,” he said.
