BIHAR ELECTIONS EYE OPENER FOR REGIONAL FORCES TO UNITE: VIJAI SARDESAI

PANAJI: Goa Forward Party (GFP) Supremo and MLA Vijai Sardesai on Wednesday said that the Bihar Assembly election is an eye opener that unity of regional forces can only defeat Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the next elections.

Sardesai told media persons that in Bihar, regional Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) emerged as the single largest party even as the BJP and its coalition parties overcame stiff challenge to retain power.

Without taking name of Congress party, Vijai said that all should analyse Bihar election results. He opined that (Congress) was offered more seats in Bihar, which according to him, was disproportionate to their support and ability and it affected the prospects of regional RJD in the elections.

At the same time GFP supremo said that he was realistic and wanted to provide an alternative to the people of Goa to defeat ruling BJP. “I still think realistic. I am not saying Congress is irrelevant but it has to be realistic. We have inherent strength and Congress party has to be realistic. We are taking decisions early to provide an alternative to people of Goa so that they can decide early.” Vijai said.
