
CALANGUTE: In a significant breakthrough, the Calangute Police Station has successfully resolved a theft case concerning the burglary at Casa Das Imras Villa, where the perpetrators made off with high-end laptops, a watch, cash, and various other valuables.
Following extensive efforts, law enforcement identified the suspect as D M Santosha, a 27-year-old resident of Dodderi-Bhadravathi, Shimoga- Karnataka. A committed team, led by PSI Rajaram Bagkar, collaborated closely with the Karnataka Police to apprehend the individual. The recovered stolen items, valued at Rs 3,00,000, have been retrieved, and the suspect, who has a prior record of thefts throughout India, is now in custody for further inquiry.
The police team, which includes PSI Rajaram Bagkar, head constables Satish Sawant and Vidhyanand Amonkar, as well as constables Vijay Naik, Bhagwan Palyekar, Raj Parab, Adarsh Nagekar, Gaurav Chodankar, and Pranay Gawas, is commended for their exemplary efforts.
An ongoing investigation is being conducted by PSI Yogesh Mandrekar, under the supervision of PI Calangute Paresh Naik, SDPO Porvorim Vishwesh Karpe, and North Goa SP Akshat Kaushal.
