CLASSES X AND XII OF GOA SCHOOLS REOPENS FROM SATURDAY

PANAJI: Classes X and XII of Goa schools will reopen from Saturday, November 21.

The Goa government has issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for re-opening of these classes.

Schools in the State had shut down since March 2020 due to a lockdown imposed in a bid to prevent the spread of Coronavirus infection.

The government’s SOPs prescribe that there should not be more than 12 students per classroom and suggested the odd-even formula for classes. Students will have to sanitise their hands before entering the classroom and also observe social distancing in the classroom.

A minimum distance of six feet has to be maintained between the students and they will be called in a staggered manner classes.

All students will have to use face mask which will not be exchanged to others. There will be no assembly of students and there will be no physical education activities like sports and games. However, yoga for students be conducted in a staggered manner using their own mats.

The schools have been asked not to conduct morning assembly, functions, gathering and celebrations.
