CM ASSURES SANT ANDRE MLA & PANCHAS TO SCRAP MARINA PROJECT
PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday assured Sant Andre MLA Francis Silveira and panchayat members from the constituency that the government will scrap proposed Marina project at Nauxim, if people were opposed to it.
Silveira along with all 11 panchayat members from Curca-Bambolim-Telaulim and sarpanchas and deputy sarpanchas from other six village panchayats from Sant Andre constituency met the Chief Minister and expressed their strong opposition to the proposed Marina project at Nauxim village and appealed to him to scrap the project.
The Chief Minister assured the delegation that the government will not go ahead with the project if people were opposed it.
After meeting the Chief Minister, Sant Andre MLA Francis Silveira told media persons that the Chief Minister has assured them that the government will scrap the marina project. Curca-Bambolim-Telualim sarpanch Verodiana D’Souza was also present.
