In commemoration of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth anniversary, the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today joined the Children’s Day Celebration organized by Bal Bhavan in the city today. Paying respects, the Chief Minister offered floral tributes at the statue of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Extending his warm greetings to children on the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that 50 Bal Bhavan centers across the state are actively taking part in the celebration of Children’s Day. Bal Bhavan focuses on nurturing students’ creative talents, providing instruction in skills such as painting, singing, paper-making, and crafting throughout the year, he added.
Acknowledging the pivotal role of Bal bhavan in providing a platform for children to showcase their talents, the Chief Minister informed that every year, a group of four students of Bal bhavan actively participates in the National Children’s Assembly being held in New Delhi. This event allows children from across the state to engage in creative activities, workshops, programs, and providing them with much needed exposure besides an opportunity to showcase their skills at the national level.
