CM SAWANT LAUNCHES WOMEN’S WHATSAPP HELPLINE NUMBER

PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday launched dedicated Women’s Whatsapp Helpline number 7875756177 for the safety of women in Goa at a function held at the Goa Police headquarters, Panaji.

Union Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik, Director General of Police (DGP) Mukesh Kumar Meena, IPS and Goa Shipyard Limited, Vasco, chairman and managing director Commodore B B Nagpal, NM.IN (Retd.) were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Sawant requested media to make the helpline number visible by printing in newspapers, electronic media and also at public places.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also handed over an advanced life support ambulance to the Goa Police department.

The ambulance is sponsored by the Goa Shipyard Limited, as part of its medical CSR initiative.
