Panaji, Goa, September 18, 2023: The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) conducted Exercise SAJAG along the coast of Goa on September 18, 2023, in coordination with the Indian Navy, Customs, Coastal Police, CISF, MPA, Fisheries Department, and Captain of Ports, State of Goa.

The exercise was aimed at enhancing maritime security and coordination among various stakeholders in the region. ICG aircraft and ships were deployed for surveillance, while surface assets of various stakeholders were also deployed along the coast of Goa. Joint boarding operations were carried out onboard fishing boats to assess compliance with maritime laws and regulations.

The exercise demonstrated the ICG’s commitment to working with other stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of the maritime domain.
