MAPUSA: The Rotary International Foundation through its dedicated efforts for over 35 years has played a pivotal role in eradication of polio in most parts of the world. However in countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan recent cases have been detected thereby necessitating continued efforts to bring an end to the disease.
Keeping this initiative in mind, the Rotary Club of Mapusa Elegance in association with Rotary Club of Mhapsa Elite, Rotary Club of Mapusa Millenials, Rotary Club of Mapusa City and Rotract Club of Mapusa commemorated the World Polio Day on 24th October 2024, by organizing an END POLIO NOW motorbike rally across Mapusa city.
The rally was flagged off at the Dev Bodgeshwar Temple Arena by Mapusa Municipal Councilor Adv ShashankNarvekar who had also graciously sponsored this noble cause.
More than 50 riders participated in the rally that culminated at the Mapusa Taxi stand. Helmets were also distributed to Motorcycle Taxi riders of Mapusa who enthusiastically joined in for the rally.
