Institute Menezes Braganza in collaboration with Sant Soirobanath Ambiye, Government College of Art’s and Commerce, Virnoda, Pernem organized 46th death aniversary of Padmashree late B. B. Borkar (BAKIBAAB) at Pernem.
Vasant Bhagwant Swawant, President of Goa Konkani Akademi was the chief guest. Shri. Dashrath K. Parab, chairman of Institute Menezes Braganza, Smt. Mukta Agshikar, Smt. Bharti Heble daughters of B. B. Borkar, Dr. Ajay Vaidya, Dr. Pravina Kerkar, Principal of Sant Soirobanath college, Shri. Ashok Parab, Member Secretary of IMB, Dr. Neeta Torne and Mansi Dhauskar were also present.
Floral tribute was presented to the Portrait of Late B. B. Borkar by all the dignitaries Dr. Pravina Kerkar welcomed the gathering, Shri. Dasharath Parab in his speech informed the memories of Late B. B. Borkar and recited one poems in Konkani and Marathi and also about the prose books of Late B. B. Borkar thereafter the students and teachers of Sant Soirobanath college recited some poems. Dr. Ajay Vaidya presented Konkani and Marathi poems of Late B. B. Borkar with narration which were a ploud by students.
The vote of thanks was presented by Shri. Ashok Parab and Dr. Neeta Torne. The programme was attended by the students of Konkani, Marathi section of Sant Soirobanath college in large numbers.
