Quick Response by Mapusa Firefighters Averts Tragedy
September 4, 2023, Colvale, Goa: In a harrowing incident near Colvale Bridge on Sunday night, a Maruti Brezza bearing the license plate number MH 20 CL 3905 became engulfed in flames, leaving its four occupants shaken but miraculously unharmed. The vehicle, owned by Mr. Pranav Bhalerao, was en route from Goa to Pune when the terrifying ordeal unfolded.
The incident occurred at approximately 21:48 hrs as the car was in motion. Eyewitnesses reported that the fire originated from the car’s bonnet, quickly escalating into a fierce blaze. The estimated loss due to the fire is a staggering 12 lakhs.
Prompt action by the Mapusa Fire Station crew played a pivotal role in averting a potential catastrophe. They swiftly arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the flames, preventing the fire from spreading further and ensuring the safety of the vehicle’s occupants.
