Welcome to the official coverage of the World Youth Skill Day Programme in Goa, led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant. This prestigious event took place at Kala Academy, where the Chief Minister inaugurated Centers of Excellence at ITIs in Farmagudi, Bicholim, Mapusa, Cacora, and Vasco. The occasion was graced by the presence of MP Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Education Secretary Shri Prasad Lolayekar, and representatives from prominent organizations like Tata Tech, Putzmeister, Siemens, Taj Hotels, Jaquar, Daikin, and Directors of Planning & Statistics and Skill Development.

During the event, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant participated in the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between Tata Technology and ITIs across the state. He also honored district-level achievers and recognized companies contributing to skill development through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant emphasized the importance of Skilling, Reskilling, and Upskilling as pivotal components of his administration’s vision for ‘Kaushal Goa, Kushal Goa’ (Skilled Goa, Prosperous Goa), aiming towards ‘Swayampurna Goa’ (Self-sufficient Goa). He reiterated the government’s commitment to empowering youth through skill development initiatives, such as the CM Apprenticeship Program and initiatives attracting corporate investments into ITIs and educational institutions.

The exhibition, showcasing opportunities in various sectors and skill upgradation, will remain open at Kala Academy until 15th July from 10 am to 5 pm. The Chief Minister extended an invitation to youth, students, parents, and industry representatives to explore these opportunities and build a bright and successful future through skill enhancement.
