GOA GOVERNMENT ISSUES SOP FOR PARTIAL REOPENING OF SCHOOLS FROM NOVEMBER 21

PANAJI: The Goa government on Tuesday issued SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for reopening of X and XII classes from November 21.

As per the SOP issued by the Directorate of Education, only 12 students will be permitted in a classroom and students will be called in a staggered manner classes. If classroom is small then other rooms having larger area be used with physical distance of six-feet distance between the students.

The schools have been asked to prepare time-table in such a manner that there will be no crowd in the school.

There should be a thermal scanner facility to check the body temperature of all students, teachers, school authorities, parents, and visitors besides, hand sanitizers. Students should be sanitized to maintain a safe distance in the classroom with a minimum distance of six-feet.

All students will have to use face mask which will not be exchanged to others. There will be no assembly of students and there will be no physical education activities like sports and games. However, yoga for students be conducted in a staggered manner using their own mats.

All the visitors coming to the school including staff should download `Arogya Sethu App’ and as far as possible no outsider should be allowed in the school.

The schools have been asked not to conduct morning assembly, functions, gathering and celebrations.
