Goa government seek apology from Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for ‘littering

PANAJI: The Goa government has asked film-maker Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions to tender an apology for “littering” an area in Nerul village during a film shoot recently, failing which, fine would be imposed on the company.

The incident came to light after residents of Nerul in North Goa district outraged over the stinking garbage uploaded videos showing the waste, allegedly generated by the crew of Dharma Productions following shooting of an upcoming Deepika Padukone-starrer film last week.

After the issue was highlighted on social media, the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) on October 27 issued a show-cause notice to the lines producer Disha Creations of Porvorim hired by Dharma Productions.

Lobo said that the company should tender an apology on Facebook stating that it was an error on their part and accept the fault.

“If they (company) don’t do it, we will fine them. My department will impose a fine on them,” Lobo said.
