CANACONA: NGO  Goa Sudharop,  working in hinterland Goa to serve the needs of rural community of the state, organised a kidney disease and general health medical camp in association with Siddehswar Sports Club in the village of Barcem, Canacona  on  Sunday .

The camp is part the  Goa Sudharop Kidney Fine Project and aims at screening citizens of the state especially in rural parts for Kidney Ailments.  Dr Devdutt Sail,  coordinator for the project in a statement issued to the press stated that Point of Care Testing Devices for Urine and Blood test are used to screen individuals.

Dr  Rounak Naik and Dr Surysmit  Suryakant Parwar provided consultation services at the camp.

The camp was inaugurated by Zilla Parishad member  Kushali Naik in the presence of  headmaster Govind Velip,  Barcem sarpanch Shanu Gaonkar,   Dept of Civil Supplies Assistant Director Ulhas Velip,  Goa Sudharop member  Verma Demelo and Goa Sudharop Chairman Ferens.

Free kidney disease testing and medicines was provided and total of 105 beneficiaries were screened at the camp.
