
PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant informed that the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and the Government of Goa have signed an MoU to launch the ‘Student Skilling Program,’ aimed at equipping Goa’s youth with industry-relevant skills in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector.
CM was speaking after attending the National Science Day program at the Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sankhali, where eminent scientist Dr Sharad Kale delivered an insightful talk on ‘Science in Everyday Life.’
CM mentioned that this year’s National Science Day theme – “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat” – is a clarion call for our future leaders in science. He added that India has long been a hub of scientific innovation and continues to make remarkable strides in space exploration, nuclear technology, and artificial intelligence.
CM reaffirmed that the Government of Goa remains steadfast in its commitment to strengthening STEM education through CARES, Innovation & Startup hubs, and the integration of science with sustainable development and urged everyone to embrace a scientific temper, guided by the vision of Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi, to pave the way for a Viksit Goa, Viksit Bharat.
