PANAJI: The Directorate of Tribal Welfare invites application for consideration of grants in Aid for new project from Non Government Organization/ Voluntary Organization for the year 2024-25 under the scheme “Grant –in- Aid to Voluntary Organization working for the welfare of STs.

 Applications for above may be submitted to Directorate of Tribal Welfare till February 15.

The  prime objective of the scheme is to supplement the welfare efforts of the government and fill the gaps in area of education, health, livelihood etc  by developing a participatory and collaborative mechanism with dedicated NGOs, who have capacity to provide quality service for development of tribal population.

In education sector, grant-in-aid will be considered for project such as running and maintenance of Non- Residential School, Residential Schools and Hostels. In Health sector, grant-in-aid will be considered for project such as running and maintenance of hospital, dispensary with 10 or more beds and mobile dispensary.

In Livelihood sector, grant-in-aid will be considered for project such as enhancement of livelihood and income generation opportunities through infrastructure support and capacity building in the sector like agriculture, fishery, dairy and animal husbandry, water conservation, organic/ natural farming.
