Dr Nanda Pai emphasises multidisciplinary approach in dentistry to ensure comprehensive health care to Hemophilia patients. Goa, July 28- A programme on “Hemophilia Care in Dentistry” was held at Goa Dental College and Hospital, Bambolim on Friday addressing specialized dental care for individuals with Hemophilia. Dr. Nanda Pai, Head of the Department of Dentistry at KEM Hospital, Mumbai, was the keynote speaker. Attended by 90 participants, including doctors and patients, the event was supported by the Hemophilia Society Panaji Chapter. Discussions focused on tailored treatment plans and precautions for optimal oral health in Hemophilia patients. Dr. Nanda Pai made invaluable contribution and gave insights in dentistry as related to Hemophilia persons,in the course of her presentation.


Dr. Pai highlighted the importance of a multidisciplinary approach involving dentists, hematologists, and other healthcare specialists to ensure comprehensive hemophilia care. She showcased several real-life case studies, illustrating the complexities and potential risks that hemophilia patients might encounter during routine dental treatments. Goa Dental College’s collaborative efforts in organizing this event signify the commitment of the medical community to improve the quality of life and oral healthcare for Hemophilia patients. Dean of Goa Dental College Dr Ida de Noronha de Ataide among others participated in the educative programe.
