
PANAJI: The Hemophilia Society Panaji Chapter, in collaboration with the Office of Persons with Disabilities, Goa, organized an *Aquatic Therapy Camp* for individuals with bleeding disorders at the *SAG Swimming Pool, Campal*. The event highlighted the therapeutic benefits of aquatic exercises and promoted inclusivity for persons with disabilities.
Dr Ramnath Nevrekar, Professor at Goa Medical College, and Tiswadi Mamlatdar Kaushik Desai attended as chief guests. Trainers Dr Valankini Raposo, Dr Dilkhush Velip, and Dr Prabhakar conducted sessions on exercises to improve mobility and reduce joint pain.
Senior journalist Prakash Kamat emphasized the importance of accessible public swimming pools for persons with disabilities.
The Society also commemorated Founder’s Day of Hemophilia Federation (India), honoring 40 years of service to the hemophilia community and the pioneering efforts of founder Ashok Bahadur Verma.
This event reaffirmed the Panaji Chapter’s commitment to care, advocacy, and empowerment for individuals with bleeding disorders.
