In a groundbreaking initiative, Purple Fun, as part of International Purple Fest, Goa – 2024, is once again setting the stage for a diverse array of inclusive activities aimed at bridging the gap in enjoyment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Recognizing the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in accessing leisure activities, Purple Fun focuses on creating an inclusive space. This initiative aims to provide everyone, irrespective of their disabilities, the chance to savor life’s joys.
Last year’s success, particularly with the Bird Trail at Carambolim and the Cruise Ride, prompted us to continue these activities. This year, Purple Fun is thrilled to introduce “Yoga For All” curated by Arpita Roy, a person with a physical disability, and the rhythmic experience of the “Drum Circle” by Mama Goa Drum Circle. Additionally, there will be movie screenings with audio narration and sign language interpretation, offering a more inclusive cinematic experience. Tandem Cycles, curated by the Happy Humans organization, will be available at Kala Academy for a ride.
Inclusive Car Rally organized by Saksham in partnership with Prosports. In this unique rally, individuals without disabilities or with disabilities other than blindness will drive the cars, while individuals with blindness will take on the role of navigators, showcasing the spirit of teamwork and inclusivity.
To partake in these enriching activities, participants are encouraged to secure their slots through the IPFG app, with bookings opening on January 6, 2024. Purple Fun is committed to fostering an environment where everyone, regardless of disability, can relish the simple pleasures of life, and Purple Fest 2024 promises to be an inclusive celebration like never before.
