NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant visited the Goa Pavilion set up at the India International Trade Fair, 2024 which has been receiving tremendous response from the general public for Goa’s rich cultural heritage and local handicrafts.
The Chief Minister on his arrival at the Pavilion was received by Information Officer Kiran Munankar and Aryan Khedekar and Sanman Kenkre, proprietors of Mirchi Republic media. Dr Sawant was given a warm traditional welcome along with Goan fugdi.
Dr Sawant complimenting the Department of Information and other line Departments for showcasing the Swayampurna Goen concept of making people and the State Self-reliant urged to support the Prime Minister of India for realising his dreams of making India Vikshit Bharat 2047.
Chief Minister suggested to present more products under the Make in Goa concept so that Goan products derives benefit at National and international market. Chief Minister taking the perfect presentation of the rich Goan cultural heritage of Goa along with its development at the pavilion underscored the need to portray it in the right perspective to the people across the world.
Chief Minister also encouraged the artisans at the Goa Pavilion for their efforts in bringing the Goan products to the people including the hospitality being projected and efforts made towards promoting Goa as an international tourist’s destination and to boost industrial growth and tourism activity in Goa in a big way.
The Goa State Innovation Council which has been displaying and providing demo on various robotics techniques to transform their ideas into successful startup’s also received tremendous response from youths that have been visiting the pavilion.
The Goan Cultural troupe also engaged the crowd while performing Dekni dance bringing in a true Goan feeling among the crowd and was much acknowledged.
The people was later handed over with gift hampers as a token of love at the hands of Information Officers Allwyn Pereira and Kiran Munankar.
The pavilion has been conceptualized, designed, erected and managed by M/s Mirchi Republic Media.
