
PANAJI: India Khelo Football (IKF), a pioneering non-profit initiative inaugurated its TYGER-IKF Season 5 trials at the Sesa Academy Ground in Goa on Sunday, in collaboration with Sinquerim Sports Club. This season is poised to be IKF’s most ambitious yet, with plans to cover over 125 cities across India and extend its reach to five neighbouring countries, thereby providing a platform for Indian expatriates to showcase their talent. IKF is set to transform the Indian football landscape. Distinct from traditional clubs, academies, agents, or player management companies, IKF offers a unique platform for democratizing football scouting across the nation.
The inaugural event saw enthusiastic participation from over 200 young footballers, highlighting Goa’s vibrant football culture. The energy and commitment on display were further reinforced by the local community—including parents and key stakeholders—who have expressed excitement and requested that IKF extend its trials to South Goa to tap into talent from across the state.
