To mark the International Women’s Day, event was celebrated today by the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Panaji Goa in the Conference Hall of the Directorate. Almost 16 Nos of Women Staff/ Employees participated in a competition held under the caption “Year of Millets-2023”. Various sweet dishes like Cakes, varieties of Laddos, Modaks, Satwa Kapa, Smoothi, Bhakri with Chatni, Bhakri with prawns chatni, Barfi, Kheer, etc were prepared by the participating women specially made out of millets.
Smt.Rena Menezes, Deputy Director from the Department of Agriculture presided over as the Judge for the competition. Smt. Neema Rane won the 15 prize, Smt. Sushanti Tilve and Smt. Shilpa Phadte shared the 2nd Prize and Smt. Deepti Manerikar and Smt. Deepti Narvekar shared the 3rd Prize. The event was coordinated & conducted by Smt.Maria Dmello. This year the theme for IWD 2023 being “Embrace Equity” the ladies were asked to be fair and impartial in the walks of life. An effort put in by all was appreciated.
