Interstate Goa- Hyderabad Bus Accident at Dharbandora-Driver dies on spot, 26 passengers injured, 9 Shifted to GMC

In an accident caused at around 5.30 pm the interstate bus travelling from Panjim to Hyderabad the bus with around 35 passengers including four female passengers was overturned at Durgini Dharbandora and fell into roadside nullah following which the driver of bus died on spot while 9 seriously injured passengers were shifted to GMC after primary treatment to them at PHC Piliem Dharbandora. The accident took place at one way near Amigoes Hotel at Durgini Dharbandora when driver lost control over negotiating the one way and bus fell into roadside nullah. Following this there was panic and cry for help by passengers following which locals and Collem Police rushed for help with 108 vehicles and ambulance.

The seriously injured passengers received head injuries, fractures on legs, hands and other body injuries. It is learnt three drivers were on bus and one who was driving died on spot. The locals suspected that the accident took place as driver was under influence of liquor. Most of passengers were from Telangana Hyderabad and few were from Goa.

Around 26 injured are taking treatment at PHC Piliem Dharbandora while some of these injured passengers are shifted to Sub District Hospital Ponda Collem Police conducted Panchanama.
