We have all seen how the inspection of Mhadei was delayed because of elections. To this Govt, the elections were more important that Mhadei River. A critical inspection like this doesn’t fall under the purview of model code of conduct.
Goa Govt had sent a letter in August 2023 seeking inspection at the end of April. The first meeting of Prawah was held on 13th Feb 2024. Nothing was discussed about inspection in the meeting. Vide letter dated 25/06/2024 it was informed by the Secretary M-PRAWAH that the familiarisation visit of Mhadei basin would be carried out from 04/07/2024 to 08/07/2024.
I have not been given a copy of the minutes of the second meeting held on 30th June 2024 where the date of inspection was decided nor of the report of the inspection. Was the meeting and subsequent inspection held in a hurry because of the Assembly election?
