Local taxis should be used for ISL matches transport Taxi owners to CM

PANAJI: All Goa Taxi Association on Monday complained to Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant that outside taxis were being brought and used for transport for the Indian Super League (ISL) matches .

They met chief minister along with Ports Minister Michael Lobo at his Altinho residence.

 Bappa Korgaonkar, a taxi owner told Prime TV said that the chief minister had assured them that he will support local taxis and bus owners and further assured them that action will be taken against the same.

Korgaonkar also added that when tournaments like these happen in Goa, Goans should benefit and outside vehicles should not be allowed to be brought into the State for point to point travel.

The 7th edition of ISL kicks-off in Goa from November 20.
