
MOPA: Manohar International Airport (GOX), developed and operated by GMR Goa International Airport (GGIAL) becomes the first airport, ever in India to receive the prestigious “Sarvashrestha Suraksha Puraskaar (GOLDEN TROPHY)” at National Safety Council of India (NSCI) Safety Awards 2024 under ‘Service Sector’. The award was given at a ceremony held in January 2025 at The Lalit, Mumbai.
National Safety Council of India (NSCI) set up by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India (GoI) invited entries from all over the nation to recognize and reward the organisations in various sectors for their exemplary Occupational in Safety & Health (OSH) performance & commitment to reduce workplace injuries, implementations of the best OSH practices and encourage continual improvements.
Manohar International Airport was evaluated on its safety performance, safety statistics, safety commitments, safety awareness, training & promotional activities and innovations on ground. The meticulous planning and execution of various safety practices at Manohar International Airport had ensured ZERO – fatal, non-fatal & Total Permanent Disability incidences, being the success factor for achieving this prestigious award.
