MAPUSA: Dr Nutan Bicholkar, the Chairperson of the Mapusa Municipal Council, has submitted her resignation. Sources indicate that this decision stemmed from a mutual agreement within the ruling council.
This resignation concludes Dr Bicholkar’s term as Chairperson, during which she led numerous initiatives and projects focused on the development of the Mapusa Municipal area. The council is now required to hold a meeting to elect a successor.
“I have greatly valued my time as Chairperson of the Mapusa Municipal Council and take pride in the initiatives and projects we have launched to enhance the Mapusa Municipal area. Nevertheless, I have chosen to resign as Chairperson following a mutual understanding with the ruling council. I trust that the council will persist in its efforts to provide outstanding civic amenities and services to the residents of Mapusa.”
