On 28/7 a complaint was lodged by a the girl informing that one person had molested and raped her some days back and further threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed about it to her parents. Further fearing her life the said girl had carried chilly powder and pepper spray along with her today as the said accused person was also repeatedly calling her and texting her. Today around at 01:30 pm the accused person followed the victim girl. When accused came out from the car victim girl threw chilly powder and sprayed ‘Moov’ on his face . Victim girl was trained in boxing. When accused was running away she caught his leg and shouted for help upon which locals gathered and police were called. Before the police arrived the accused managed to run away from the scene.
In the video which is on social media it is clarified that the girl is holding on to the accused person so that he doesn’t run away after the girl threw chilly powder and pepper spray on him. Th accused person and the victim girl are neighbors. on the pretext of providing bike spare parts he had taken the girl for a drive. Since the accused was known to victim and her family she had agreed to travel with him in car. In car he tried to take advantage and molested and raped her. Since the girl was trained in boxing she defended herself from the accused.
The accused person was identified as Mr. Yusuf Shaikh R/o Bardez – Goa and is absconding. An FIR under sections 354, 354A, 354D, 509, 376, 506ii and 323 IPC is registered. Further investigation is in progress .
