Devastating fire broke out today at an illegal scrapyard located opposite Ticlo Petrol Pump in Girim-Mapusa, The incident has attracted the attention of authorities, with the Fire Office incharge of Bardez, Mr. Parrikar, and the Panjim area incharge fire officer, Bosco Ferreao, leading a team of 25 firefighters to the scene.
To combat the raging fire, authorities have deployed five water tankers from Panjim, Porvorim, and Mapusa, which have been tirelessly working to douse the flames. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and investigations will be conducted to ascertain the circumstances leading to this incident
