PONDA: The master plan for Ponda city comes into existence as Ponda Municipal Council has approved the river front park project comprising of various facilities and costing Rs 4.5 crore. The amount for the project was sanctioned through central government’s fund. This is the first phase of master plan and named river front project as the same coming around 6000 square meters area facing main nullah in Ponda city.
Speaking to media after presenting demonstration of project in the presence of Ponda Municipal Council chairperson Anand Naik and councillors, Ponda MLA and Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik informed that the various developmental projects would be coming up under master plan in the city as money being sanctioned by the Central government and works of the same will be carried out by the Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA).
According to chairperson Anand Naik, the river front project consisting facilities for all age group citizens including children such as garden, walking trek of 700 meters, food court, multi sports courts, children parks, parking facilities and painting walls besides the footbridge on nullah.
