In a major announcement bringing relief to residents of New Vaddem Housing Board Colony, Dabolim MLA and Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho has assured the regularization of 545 houses in the area. Speaking at an event attended by Goa Housing Board Chairman Jeet Arolkar, Mauvin emphasized the government’s commitment to providing secure housing for the residents, many of whom are workers of the Mormugao Municipal Council.
“These are the people who work tirelessly to keep our city clean and functioning. It is our duty to ensure they have a proper place to call home,” said Mauvin. He further stated that the government is dedicated to improving the living conditions of workers and providing them with the dignity they deserve.
Jeet Arolkar echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the importance of addressing the long-standing housing issues faced by the colony residents. He assured that the Goa Housing Board would expedite the regularization process.
The move is expected to bring significant relief to the municipal workers and other residents who have been living in uncertainty for years. The regularization of these homes is seen as a major step towards improving the lives of the city’s essential workers.
