Power Minister, Shri Sudin Dhavlikar laid foundation stone for the work of Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of Double Circuit underground cable of 33 KV, 3CX400 Sq. mm XLPE emanating from 220/33 KV Cuncolim Sub Station to 33/11 KV Fatorda Sub-Station and 33/11 KV Raia Sub Station and interlink Cable from Fatorda Sub Station to Raia Sub – Station for a total route length of 29.5 KM under Division –IV, Margao today at B. P. S Sports Club, Margao. Estimated Cost of Project is Rs.40,50,51,947/-
While speaking on the occasion, Shri Sudin Dhavlikar said, we should never forget old days from which we come forward. The projects which we bring forward should complete responsibly and should be commissioned for the use of the public. Electricity Department is working on infrastructure projects simultaneously all over Goa without making any discrimination. Face of Power House of Margao will also be changed he said. He seeked cooperation of every citizen for all the developmental works. Rs.250 crore work for the State of art sub-station at Verna he said.
MLA Shri Aleixo Reginaldo said, he praised Government for taking power infrastructure work ahead. One should appreciate the good work and not only criticize. One should understand the reality and work together for development of the State and Nation.
MLA Shri Vijay Sardessai said, more then a decade old problem of power outage will be resolved after commissioning of this project. Power infrastructure improvement needs vision also lot of money and it is not easy. Non conventional source of energy needs to be encouraged he said. Goa is a progressive State and all people should get best quality infrastructure.
Supretending Engineer Shri Rajiv Samant in his welcome speech said, Electricity is important in everyone’s life and it should be uninterrupted for which Department is trying it’s best.
