In honor of International Women’s Day and following the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji to honor women’s empowerment, the BJP Mahila Morcha organized the Nari Shakti Vandana program in Porvorim, Goa. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries Minister of Tourism, Information Technology, Electronics, and Communications, Printing and Stationery, Government of Goa, Shri—Rohan A. Khaunte, BJP President and Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha Shri. Sadanand Shet Tanavade, ZP of Penha De Franca Smt. Kavita Gupesh Naik, Socorro Panchayat sarpanch Smt. Sonia Sanjay Pednekar, Penha De Franca panchayat Sarpanch Shri. Sapnil Chodankar, BJP Mandal President Shri, Kishor Asnodkar, Ex sarpanch of Salvador do Mundo panchayat, Shri. Sandeep Salgaonkar, Primary Health Center Porvorim Medical Officer Dr. Madhavi Lotlikar, and other panchayat members.
Porvorim’s Nari Shakti Vandana program began with empowering the women of our nation by contributing valuable suggestions and enhancing the Viksit Bharat Modi Ki Guarantee initiative.
During the live speech telecast, Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji emphasized the significance of the massive program, highlighting the BJP’s dedication to leveraging women’s potential for India’s advancement. He noted the extensive engagement of thousands of women’s self-help groups across the nation, citing a significant conference in West Bengal as a testament to the party’s commitment to empowering women and driving progress.
Expressing optimism for the future, the Prime Minister unveiled the Namo Drone scheme, designed to train women as drone pilots to enhance agricultural practices. Under this initiative, the BJP government will provide drones to these women, facilitating farm-related activities.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment by listing eight major programs and schemes launched over the past eight years. These include initiatives aimed at enhancing women’s access to education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and financial inclusion.

Prime Minister Modi Ji expressed optimism in achieving significant milestones ahead, pledging to fulfill the promises outlined in the Modi Ki Guarantee.

Khaunte, commended the Nari Shakti Vandana program, emphasizing the remarkable strides women have made towards self-reliance and confidence across various fields, bringing pride to the Porvorim constituency. “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative, focuses on pillars such as Nari Shakti, Yuva Shakti, Kisan Shakti, and Garib Kalyan, which are integral to the nation’s development. The government’s commitment to comprehensive development through initiatives the Viksit Bharat Modi Ki Guarantee Sankalp Patra Sujav Abhiyan ensures support for women to take on responsibilities for national progress. On the occasion of the Nari Shakti Vandana program, in honor of International Women’s Day, extending heartfelt wishes to all women, recognizing and commending their invaluable contributions to the progress and development of our nation.”

Addressing the crowd, Shri. Sadanand Shet Tanavade emphasized the enactment of the Nari Shakti Bill (Women’s Reservation Bill 2023) during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure, stressing its importance in enhancing women’s representation. He also underscored government efforts to empower women across various fields and advocated for collective support to foster a more inclusive society and advance women’s rights. Additionally, Dr. Madhavi Lotlikar shed light on women’s health concerns, emphasizing the importance of addressing prevalent issues such as anemia, diabetes, breast cancer, and cervical cancer.
The overwhelming support of Porvorim women for this initiative underscores their commitment to the cause. The Nari Shakti Vandana program epitomizes India’s unwavering dedication to women’s empowerment and inclusivity, serving as a beacon of progress and unity.
