Although Prime Minster Naredndra Modi launched Skill India Mission in 2015 and objective of the mission to train over 40 crore youth in different skills aiming to improve employability and start entrepreneurial ventures but some institutes which are providing training to students are not functioning and shut down due to its bad condition and one live example is once top ITI institutes not only in Goa but in Bardez taluka, an ITI institute at Mapusa. Speaking to exclusively to Prime Media, ward councillor Tarak Arolkar on whose ward this ITI located said that for the last two years the ITI institute remained dormant and shifted its base to Porvorim after collapsing of its slab and urged government to repair or reconstruct the building of ITI as soon as possible as the same is need of the hour for students from Bardez taluka so that they can learn different skill courses available in this institute.
