Anjuna Police have arrested one Karnataka native in connection with a rape case. As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi a complaint was lodged by the victim girl aged 19 yrs wherein she informed that she along with her freind had gone for a picnic at a resort in Arpora. Further her freinds boyfriend also came at the said picnic. After they partied the said boyfriend send his girlfriend out on the pretext of getting some things and he went to the bedroom of the victim girl and tried to force himself on the victim . The victim managed to escape but out of fear didn’t narrate the facts immediately. After 03 days finally the girl narrated the ordeal to her elder sister and lodged a complaint.
Accused person has been identified as Mr. Albaz @ Afzal Noor Ahmed Khan, age 21 yrs R/o Camurlim and Native of Haveri Karnataka. Accused person Albaz @ Afzal has been arrested under section 376 IPC and is presently in police custody. Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of PI Anjuna Prashal Dessai, SDPO Mapusa Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan IPS.
