Today Porvorim Police station staff with meticulous planning and swift action cracked down the 17 Crores Cheating Case and nabbed the accused at Dehradun, Uttarakhand by the team consisting of PSI Mandar Parab, PC Bhikaji Parab and Nitesh Gawde under the supervision of PI Rahul Parab, overall supervision of Shri. Vishwesh Karpe SDPO Porvorim and SP North Shri. Nidhin Valsan.
That on 28/12/2024 at 14.46hrs, an offence was registered upon the written complaint of Mr. Govind Dasari S/o Laxminarayan,
Occ – Chief Executive Officer, Aditi
Constructions, R/o Jos wado, Socooro, Bardez – Goa to the effect that prior to 28.12.2023 at Aditi Constructions, R/o Joswado, Socooro, Bardez – Goa, accused person Mr. Ashok Kumar Maurya S/o Oriram Maurya, age – 43 yrs, R/o Basharatpur, Shahpur, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pardesh who was employed as the accountant in the Complainants company and was entrusted with the work to maintain company accounts, transfer payments, investments in shares and daily stock trading through the company’s account. However accused person dishonestly misappropriated the money belonging to the company amounting to Rs. 17,00,00,000/- approx. (Rupees Seventeen Cores approx) and thereby committed breach of trust.
After registration of this case, On 30.12.2023 the team of Porvorim Police Station consisting of PSI Mandar Parab, PC
Bhikaji Parab and Nitesh Gawde left for Dehradun, Uttarakhand for investigation. After collection of technical information and human intelligence, on 01.01.2024 The Porvorim PS team with the help of local police and CMC Porvorim nabbed and arrested the accused namely Mr. Ashok Kumar Maurya S/o Oriram Maurya, age – 43 yrs, R/o Basharatpur, Shahpur, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pardesh, at Transport Nagar, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The interrogation reveals that the accused systematically planned this crime. He had taken all precaution to avoid his arrest.
Howewer the team of Porvorim Police which camped in Dehradun for nearly three days did meticulous field work and were able to nabbed the accused.
