Revenue Minister Atanasio ‘Babush’ Monserrate heard the grievances of the people at Prashasan Tumchya Dari programme held at DeputyCollector’s office, Ponda todayTo mark completion of Nine years of Modi Government at the centre and four years of Dr Pramod Sawant led government, State Government held two Day programme “Prashasan Tumcha Dari” on March 17 and 18 to interact with the people and stakeholders.

The Dy.Collector, Ms. Egna Cleetus, IAS, Additional Collector III Shri Vishal Kundaikar, Managing Director for Goa Waste Management Corporation Shri Levinson Martins, Chairperson for Ponda Municipal Council Shri Ritesh Naik alongwith the officials from various Government departments were also present on the occasion.

The Revenue Minister heard the complaints made by various Panchayats in Ponda Taluka regarding garbage, property, and land disputes in addition to hearing about specific job-related and other issues. He directed all the officers

to review the grievances seriously to find out its solution and also assured that all issues would be addressed and resolved in the best manner possible.

The Revenue Minister told the media in a briefing that since the majority of panchayats have voiced concerns about the lack of land for MRF plants for garbage treatment, the Government is working to amend the Community Act to determine the best solution for Garbage Treatment Plants.

Earlier the Revenue Minister distributed the Krishi card to the eligible farmers.

Following the program, the Revenue Minister and other officials visited to the Ponda Municipality to hear the grievances of panch members etc. He ensured that the grievances would be addressed in accordance with the law
