RAILWAY PASSENGER ROBBED AT MARGAO STATION

MARGAO: Unidentified person decamped with a bag containing gold ornaments and mobile phone, all valued Rs 3.54 lakh belonging to a passenger at the Margao railway station.

In his complaint, Sadanand Pujari said he along with his family were travelling in Netravati Express train and when it reached at the Margao railway station, some unknown person committed theft of a ladies bag containing gold ornaments such as mangalsutra, two rings and a mobile phone handset. The total value property is Rs 3.54 lakh.

Konkan Railway police based on the complaint flashed wireless  messages to all over Goa and other places in a bid to nab the thief. Police have also interrogated some persons in connection with the case.

Konkan Railway police have registered the case offence under section 379 of IPC and ASI Madhavi Dessai is conducting investigations under the guidance of Konkan Railway PI Hiru Kavlekar.
