Several people including Tourists today visited Raj Bhavan, Donapaula which was kept open for the general public on the occasion of Goa Liberation Day.
It may be noted that under the direction of Governor of Goa, Shri P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, the Raj Bhavan was kept open to facilitate general public to visit heritage building of Raj Bhavan Goa for the first time in the history, without any charge.
This initiative received overwhelming response from the general public, visitors and tourists. People from various walks of life, along with their family members and friends visited Raj Bhavan. The visitors were taken around in groups and shown Raj Bhavan Palace, Chapel, museum, vintage Cadillac car, Old Durbar Hall, Conference Hall, Dining room, heritage structures and antique items in the Raj Bhavan complex. Raj Bhavan Goa is grateful to all those visitors and tourists, who availed this opportunity and made this initiative a grand success.
